Can-Am Maverick X3 Turbo CP Pistons Pistons are the backbone of any true hardcore racing engine and that’s where CP-Carrillo excels. Our Engineering department started off analyzing the competition, gathering industry data and deciding to make the highest level of pistons, period. The heart and soul of our pistons are built through our Engineering Department and its resources. This department is made up of several factors that push them ahead of the competition; Reverse Engineering, Design Experience and Flexibility, Analysis and R&D. As in racing, it takes a lot to be number one; here at CP-Carrillo we have it all and are number one in piston design, enabling our customers to come in first on race day. Our commitment to excellence continues to advance as the industry changes. This commitment has resulted in more forgings specific to certain applications, proprietary treated wrist pins and rings manufactured only for us. Each of these aspects has been put through stringent research and development stages to ensure that our product will exceed your standards.

CAN-AM X3 BME PISTONS BME Can-Am X3 shelf pistons for stock 69.7mm stroke include the following features: valve reliefs, thick wall wrist pins, pin oilers and Total Seal rings. Available in the following combos, 74mm bore x 18mm pin, 74mm x 20mm pin, 75mm x 18mm and 75mm x 20mm wrist pins for stock stroke in 10:1 compression for E85 applications, if wanting 9.5:1, recommend the BC/Cometic MLX (non O-ring case) .051" head gasket to lower overall compression ratio. If running an O-ring case, recommend Cometic MLS style gasket to properly contain combustion. For stroker pistons, BC/BME offer a variety of flavors including 76mm bore with 20mm pins.
While BME's flagship piston products are NASCAR and road racing pistons, Bill Miller Engineering's cutting-edge technology and premium quality wins races in another motorsport which is a grueling test of pistons: blown-fuel drag racing. In fact, drag racing was the first market for the BME Forged Aluminum Racing Piston.
Ever since legendary, dragster and funny car crew chief, the late Dale Armstrong, switched to BME in the 1980s, blown-fuel racers have used BME Pistons in their engines. Since then, in the Top Fuel and Funny Car classes of National Hot Rod Association and International Hot Rod Association competition, where engines making 1000-horsepower per cylinder are the norm; BME products are a benchmark by which racing pistons are judged.
There is only one piston manufacturer in the World which races its products in its own Top Fuel Dragster and that's Bill Miller Engineering. Bill Miller's "BME Top Fuel Dragster", driven by Troy Buff, is a key development tool Bill Miller Engineering uses to validate its piston designs along with that of all its other products. |
