HONDA TALON CAMSHAFTS
BC BrianCrower Honda Talon 1000 camshafts are brand new, semi-finished cam cores that allows the capability to grind unlimited lobe specifications while still maintaining the factory base circle size. Up until this point, the only camshaft options available for the Honda Talon were regrinds cut from stock cam cores, which greatly restricts the amount of lift and duration possible due to base circle limitations, or expensive hardfacing or hard welding of stock cam cores. While hardfacing does allow for unlimited spec, you're at the mercy of these "welded up lobes" holding up over time and if they don't, you've got debris in your engine. The Honda Talon was first introduced in 2019 and features a single overhead camshaft (SOHC) design that incorporates a bucket style cam follower on the intake cam lobes, and a roller rocker style follower on the exhaust cam lobes. |
